☕🌸 “Flower Market Festival: Coffee Blossoms”

Where Floral Notes Meet Specialty Coffee in the City

The Hong Kong Specialty Coffee Association was invited by the GDCD Association and the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) to take part in “Flower Market Festival: Coffee Blossoms“ on January 3-4, bringing specialty coffee culture into everyday urban life in a unique and engaging way.

For this Flower Market coffee pop-up, the Hong Kong Specialty Coffee Association collaborated with Flow Float to create a floral-inspired specialty coffee beverage. Centered around the theme of flowers, the signature drink combine the delicate aroma of coffee with osmanthus, offering the public a refreshing and innovative sensory experience at the historic Mong Kok Flower Market, which has over half a century of history.

Unlike the common perception of coffee as simply “bold” or “bitter,” specialty coffee emphasizes origin, terroir, roasting craftsmanship, and brewing precision—often revealing natural floral and fruity notes with rich layers of flavor. Through “Coffee Blossoms”, the Association hopes to introduce specialty coffee in a relaxed and approachable way, allowing the public to better understand the diversity of coffee flavors and the expertise behind every cup.

During the event, visitors not only had the opportunity to enjoy floral coffee creations on-site, but also to interact with baristas, learning more about coffee bean origins, flavor profiles, and how specialty coffee connects with lifestyle aesthetics.

Through this collaboration with the GDCD Association, Urban Renewal Authority and Flow Float, the Hong Kong Specialty Coffee Association hopes to bring specialty coffee beyond cafés and into the community, making it an integral part of urban culture.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Flower Market Festival on January 3–4 to experience—
when floral aromas meet coffee, coffee truly blooms.
